"Kifaru" Safari Itinerary

Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), where they are welcomed by a representative of PK Adventure and transferred to a hotel in Arusha and check into your accommodation

In the morning, after breakfast (around 7:30 AM), your safari guide will arrive at the hotel and inform the receptionist of his arrival. Once you meet your driver, you will set off for Lake Manyara National Park, where your first safari adventure begins by 10:00 AM!

This stunning park is nourished by underground water streams, creating a lush habitat for diverse bird species—including vibrant pink flamingos—as well as a variety of African forest wildlife.

Around midday, you will visit the Maji Moto hot springs, where your driver will provide you with a personal lunchbox. After a relaxing break, the safari continues, and by evening, you will be transferred to your hotel for the night.

On this day, an early departure is recommended to catch the many animals that are most active in the morning. To make the most of this experience, breakfast will be packed in lunchboxes. At 6:30 AM, you will set off for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and within an hour, you will already be inside the breathtaking crater.

Ngorongoro is one of Tanzania’s most renowned and diverse wildlife havens, boasting the highest concentration of animal species per square kilometer. Here, you may encounter buffalo, elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and even elusive feline species like caracals and servals. If luck is on your side, you might even spot a rare rhinoceros, a species whose numbers are rapidly declining.

By midday, you will stop by the lakeside to enjoy your packed lunch before continuing your safari adventure.

As the day comes to an end, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Arusha.

Enjoy a relaxing stay at the hotel before your transfer to the airport.

Hotel check-out is at 11:00 AM. If you have an evening flight and require a late check-out, you have the option to extend your stay until 6:00 PM for an additional fee.

Please Note:

  • By default our tours include shared accommodation in twin/double rooms, unless requested and agreed otherwise. Single supplement is available upon request. Please refer to the program to see your accommodation arrangements
  • Moshi and Arusha-based accommodations usually include breakfast only, unless requested and agreed otherwise. Please refer to the program to see your meal plans on each night
  • Most safari lodges usually do not include tea, coffee, soft and alcoholic drinks not to have you overpay for beverages you don’t need. You will be able to order and pay for drinks at the hotels’ restaurants
  • Tented lodges are the most common type of accommodation in savannah. Many of them work on solar energy. This sometimes means bucket showers, limited wi-fi and no hair dryers, all in an effort to reduce environmental impact. We encourage you to do some basic research on the accommodations in your program to ensure the safari matches your travel style
