5 Day Tsavo West, Amboseli, Tsavo East & Diani Beach

This five-day safari offers a seamless journey through Kenya’s most diverse and visually dramatic landscapes, culminating in a tranquil Indian Ocean escape. Combining the raw wilderness of Tsavo West National Park, the iconic elephant plains of Amboseli National Park, the vast red-earth savannahs of Tsavo East National Park, and the tropical shoreline of Diani Beach, this itinerary delivers a complete bush-and-beach experience within one unforgettable adventure.

Expect varied terrain ranging from volcanic hills and natural springs to open plains framed by Mount Kilimanjaro and expansive wilderness dotted with baobab trees. Game drives across these ecosystems provide exceptional opportunities to encounter large elephant herds, lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, antelope, and diverse birdlife. The changing scenery ensures that each day feels distinct, offering new perspectives of Kenya’s rich wildlife heritage.

As the safari transitions from the untamed interior to the coast, the pace gently shifts from exploration to relaxation. The powder-white sands and turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean provide the perfect contrast to days spent tracking wildlife, allowing time to unwind in comfort while reflecting on the adventure.

This safari is ideal for travelers seeking both immersive wildlife experiences and coastal indulgence — a balanced circuit that captures the essence of Kenya in one well-rounded journey.

"5 Day Tsavo West, Amboseli, Tsavo East & Diani Beach" Safari Itinerary

The group arrives at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Participants are met by a representative of PK Adventure and transferred to a hotel in Nairobi.

Note: The hotel cost only includes breakfast. Check-in starts at 2:00 PM.

In the morning, after breakfast (around 7:30 AM), your professional safari guide from PK Adventure will arrive at your hotel. After a short briefing and getting to know your guide, you’ll set off towardTsavo West National Park for your first game drive to begins!

This park offers one of Tanzania’s most rewarding wildlife viewing experiences. Expect to see a wide variety of animals such as lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and more. Tarangire is especially well-known for its large elephant population, often seen cooling off near the Tarangire River.

While animal sightings can’t be guaranteed — this is untouched nature, after all — your guide will go the extra mile to track down the wildlife you’re hoping to see. PK Adventure guides stay connected via radio, constantly sharing updates to maximize your chances of spotting rare species.

At midday, you’ll pause for a picnic-style lunch, then continue your safari into the afternoon.

By early evening, you’ll be transferred to your hotel.

Safari time means early mornings so we can appreciate the breaking light over the plains and be ready to view the wildlife as it emerges into the new day.

On our game drives, we’ll head over to the lush and crystal clear Mzima Springs, a natural oasis fed by millions of gallons of underground water. We’ll be able to explore on foot, treading the green carpet of vegetation by the clear waters. Here we’ll find hippos and crocodiles, exotic fish and unusual birds.

Then it’s time to head to our next park, Amboseli. It’s a fairly short trip to Amboseli, take it easy and enjoy the picture-perfect presence of mighty Mt. Kilimanjaro overlooking the reserve.

Because the park’s foliage is sparse, our wildlife track is made easier and we’re guaranteed to spot plenty of elephants as well as many or perhaps all the Big Five.

Toward evening we’ll head to our accommodation for dinner and to relax.

We’ll be up early for our last chance to view Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak and enjoy the day’s first light upon the park.

Soon, we’re ready for breakfast and then it’s time to leave the park, as we hop onto the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

We’ll reach the great expanse of Tsavo East in the afternoon. This is a big park – the largest in Kenya and it boasts lots of big game. It’s also the place of legend, where ferocious lions roam and that’s who we’ll be tracking. But there will also be plenty of time to relax as well. As always, it’s your choice of how to spend your time.

Your guide will expertly track for the best spots to find and view the animals as we end the day with an African sunset over the park.

Our early morning drive will be followed by a big, safari breakfast. Riding the hills and plains here certainly increases one’s appetite!

Then we’ll take off on a mid-morning game drive, looking for all kinds of wildlife. The park also hosts smaller mammals such as fox, hyena, monkey and yellow baboon.

We’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch at our accommodation. Take as much time as you need to relax and soak up the environment.

When you’re ready we’ll head out for an afternoon drive, appreciating the great mountain and the numerous wildlife beneath its protective gaze.

We’ll breakfast and then enjoy a final enroute safari amongst Tsavo’s wild and rugged terrain. The park’s limitless horizon is always a joy to appreciate and fix within our memory.

Finally, drop off at diani.

Rest in the hotel and transfer to the airport.

Note: Hotel check-out is at 10:00 AM. In case you need a late check-out before your evening flight, you have the option to extend your hotel stay for an extra fee. Let your manager know in advance if you need a late check-out.

Please Note:

  • By default our tours include shared accommodation in twin/double rooms, unless requested and agreed otherwise. Single supplement is available upon request. Please refer to the program to see your accommodation arrangements
